(Provision of Traffic Calming Measures on the L74185 public road from the Trim Road leading to St Columbus Crescent, Woodview Estate and Limekiln Wood, Navan, Co. Meath)
Meath County Council, in the exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, hereby gives notice that it has prepared a scheme to provide traffic calming measures on the L74185 in the townlands of Limekilnhill and Dillonsland, Navan, Co. Meath.
These proposed works are in the interest of the safety and convenience of students, parents and road users (developed as part of and under the national Safe Routes to School programme) in accordance with Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (as amended).
This Scheme provides for:
Provision of new and improved pedestrian crossings.
Reduction of carriageway widths and increased widths footpaths as well as new footpaths
Creation of a traffic calmed ‘School Zone’ by provision of roadside school themed bollards, road colouring and banners
Provision of new and upgraded road markings, drainage, signage, public lighting and other ancillary works
